Chelmsford Seniors 13 - TeamIpswich Seniors 21

Ipswich beat Chelmsford away by 21 goals to 13  goals with a superb performance. A number of Chelmsford players said afterwards it was the best Ipswich team they have faced in a long time. They could simply not handle our swimming ability and overall water polo play.

The whole 10 man squad were incredible and it was a pleasure to play within this team. Tom Gould is becoming the best GK in the league and again demonstrated that tonight. The leadership of Clive Mills who was again solid in defence at the back and Nick Trett's passing rate and composure were vital.

All of Bradley Watt's 6 goals and Ben Clarke's 5 goals were absolute screamers into the corners and even the home crowd were applauding their class.

Olly Ward played in practically every position on the pitch from pit attack to pit defence and was winning challenge after challenge and scoring a worldly backhand dead on the 30 second buzzer. James Poole won one of the best last ditch tackles I've seen and fitted into our slick play with ease - he is fast becoming the quickest player we have.

Tom Mills showed why he is one of the best passers at the club and continued to pick out his Beckham-esque passes. Fin Parnell showed fantastic attitude in one of his early Senior appearances and showed us why he's so deadly in the pit winning us a penalty with one of his first touches and dominated his wing position - an exciting prospect for the future.

Chelmsford's Dan Paddon pipped Tom Ealham to most goals in the match with 9 - a great player for us to compete against.

Man of the match? All 10 players. A big congratulations is deserved to all.
